Mechdusa can be quite elusive, but we are here to help you summon and fight her. This will also include some helpful battle tips, as well as the rewards you can obtain from defeating Mechdusa. First, let's take a look at the spawn conditions for this mechanical boss.
Mechdusa is a unique boss that can only appear in the Everything Seed. To spawn this world, you will need to use the following seed.
With this seed, you will have a combination of several different seed types. Most importantly, this is the only seed where Mechdusa can appear. In the Everything Seed, all three mechanical bosses appear, taking the new shape of Mechdusa.
To summon Mechdusa, all you need to do is use Ocram's Razor. This item is exclusive to the Everything Seed, and can be crafted at a Mythril or Orchicalcum anvil with the following materials.
Each of these items will need to be crafted as well, so let's take a quick look at the crafting tree.
Typically, these items are used to summon the three mechanical bosses. In an Everything Seed world, these are unusable, with their only purpose being used to make Ocram's Razor.
Mechdusa also has a five percent chance to spawn at dusk if you have destroyed either a Demon or Crimson Alter. Additionally, this naturally spawning will only occur if at least one of the three bosses that it is composed of has not been defeated.
Once you use Ocram's Razor, Mechdusa will appear. This boss has the head of Skeletron Prime and the body of the Destroyer, with The Twins serving as eyes.
Because Mechdusa is made up of three bosses, they each have their own health. This means that you will need to destroy each part separately. Fortunately, the bosses keep their original mechanics that happen when you fight them normally.
Let's go over some tips to help you successfully take down Mechdusa.
Overall, this can be quite a tough fight, so it's best to prepare and have tough armor, strong weapons, and plenty of potions. With a ranged weapon, you can deal damage while keeping a distance as well.
As mentioned above, Mechdusa's head is made out of Skeletron Prime. The head is attached to the other bosses, so try to defeat Skeletron Prime last. If you defeat this boss before the Twins, they will un-attach and move separately from the rest of the body. This will make the fight harder, as you need to focus on two separate pieces.

Lastly, it's important to think about where you want to summon and fight Mechdusa. This is a large boss, and you definitely want to have plenty of room to battle. Like other bosses, we advise against summoning Mechdusa near your base area.
Upon defeating each portion of Mechdusa, you will receive a treasure bag for the associated mechanical boss. This means that when you kill Mechdusa, you will get three times the amount of loot as just defeating a normal boss.
Below, you can check out the contents of all three treasure bags.
Overall, Mechdusa will drop a grand total of 36 gold, which is quite a lot. In addition to these three treasure bags, Mechdusa also has a 100 percent chance to drop the Waffle Iron. This is a unique pan-shaped item that creates waffle projectiles each time you swing. The Waffle iron had a base damage of 50, making it quite strong.
That's all there is to know about Mechdusa! You can summon this boss as often as you want, allowing you to farm treasure bags from the mechanical boss components.
