Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld is based in São Paulo but his work takes him around the globe to design luxury private residences, hospitality concepts, and commercial spaces. While each project has a distinct style, often inspired by the natural surroundings, his work is always minimalist, clean, elegant, and often infused with greenery. His work is often a fusion of tropical style and international modernism from the 1950s.

So when he was conceptualizing the new boutique condominium The Elisa, located at 251 West 14th at the intersection of New York’s West Village, Chelsea, and the Meatpacking District, he wanted to bring his iconic style to life. The first thing you might notice is the multi-faceted facade, made from classic redbrick and flecked stone slabs with punctuating lush greenery. There are just 25 residences spanning from one to three bedrooms, as well as a four-bedroom penthouse. Pricing ranges from $1.45 million to $5 million, and the penthouse price has yet to be disclosed.

The interiors are both functional and beautiful and feature elegant European designer finishes, warm organic tones, airy 9.5-foot ceilings, and stunning oak floor. Each residence is flooded with natural light thanks to massive picture windows. Other features include Boffi-designed kitchens, Pietra Serena stone islands, stainless steel worktops, custom oak cabinetry, and high-end appliances from Miele and Sub-Zero. The luxury doesn’t end there; the bathrooms are outfitted in sumptuous marble and there are thermostatic rain showers by Fantini. Some units even have outdoor space.

Even though it’s a boutique condo, there are plenty of amenities including a 24/7 doorman, fitness club, patio, and a rooftop oasis with lush landscaping, outdoor kitchens, and sun lounging.

“The Elisa’s prime location at the convergence of the Meatpacking District, West Village, and Chelsea is unlike any other new development project in New York City,” says Bianca D’Alessio of Nest Seekers International, who is co-listing the property with Christian Haag and Mia Calabrese, also of Nest Seekers, and SERHANT. “With immediate access to three of the most iconic and trendiest neighborhoods in the city, residents will have access to the best dining, shopping, and nightlife right outside of their front door. The boutique design of the Elisa enhances the intimacy and exclusivity of living in these neighborhoods while the high-end European finishes throughout offer simplicity and elegance within the home. Each finish and detail has been curated and hand-selected to marry all of these components while at the same time creating a “game of contrasts,” best said by the architect Isay Weinfeld.”

There are amazing views over New York.

Weinfeld’s projects include residential building Jardim located along New York City’s High Line, Fasano Hotel in Brazil, Four Seasons Hotel in the Dominican Republic, and much more. He imagines spaces unlike anyone else and his projects typically include abstract art, natural materials, a neutral color palette, and unexpected shapes and styles.

The 11-story building was completed this year and is currently accepting sales.
