This is very much a lick-your-lips kind of cake. 

It's a cake of contrast. It's swirled inside with a soft, tangy crumb, and the ganache topping is decadent and intense. 

Whether or not you treat the cake as a mere vehicle for the ganache is up to you, but please choose a good, dark chocolate for it. It's the highlight and, I dare say, the best bit.
