NYC apartments for sale with the deepest price chops in September

This Lenox Hill four bedroom, five bath saw the biggest dollar price drop with a $5,500,000 cut to $22,000,000.

Manhattan saw a substantial increase in the number of sellers who reduced their listing prices lasts month, according to RealtyHop's monthly report. 

The Upper East Side-Carnegie Hill saw the most price cuts, with 201 drops, an increase from 104 cuts previously. The Upper West Side-Lincoln Square saw the second-most level of cuts with 141 drops, an increase from 93 last month. The other top five neighborhoods were also all in Manhattan with 114 to 135 drops.

In its monthly price drop report, RealtyHop identifies neighborhoods with the highest total number of price cuts. It also highlights areas with the largest percentage drop in median price, and the largest median dollar price drop.

A four-bedroom, five-bath condo in Lenox Hill saw the biggest dollar price drop with a $5,500,000 cut to $22,000,000. The apartment with the largest percentage price cut was a three-bedroom, three-bath co-op in the Theater District with a 45 percent cut to $1,100,000.

Here are listings with the deepest price chops still on the market according to RealtyHop's report.

This four bedroom, five bath saw a $5,500,000 cut to $22,000,000. The penthouse duplex features oversized windows, high ceilings, built-ins, moldings, hardwood floors, a private elevator, wood-burning fireplace, walk-in closets, and central air. The main apartment has four bedrooms, four full baths, two half baths plus a studio apartment. Amenities include a doorman, concierge, and fitness center.

This five bedroom, six bath saw a $5,050,000 cut to $19,950,000. It has a private elevator landing, terraces, a fireplace, built-ins, stainless steel appliances, recessed lighting, central air, and walk-in closets. The building has a doorman, playroom, bike storage, and a landscaped roof deck.

This property saw a $5,000,000 cut to $14,995,000. Two townhouses were combined to create a 25-foot-wide mansion and the final stages of the renovation will need to be completed by the buyer, according to the listing. The current plan has eight bedrooms, eight full baths, two half baths, and a roof terrace. 

This six bedroom, six bath saw a $5,000,000 cut to $20,000,000. The co-op has stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, coffered ceilings, moldings, millwork, built-ins, a wood-burning fireplace, central air, a foyer, and two storage units. The building has a bike room. 

This three bedroom, three bath saw a $3,475,000 cut to $12,500,000. The corner penthouse features a south-facing terrace, floor-to-ceiling windows, 12-foot ceilings, a fireplace, marble countertops, recessed lighting, central air, and in-unit laundry. Amenities include a fitness center, pool, sauna, library, courtyard, and playroom. 

This three bedroom, three bath saw a 45 percent drop to $1,100,000. It has a limestone entry foyer, fireplace, built-ins, moldings, millwork, recessed lighting, stainless steel appliances, white marble countertops, a terrace, and in-unit laundry. Amenities include a laundry room, bike room, and storage.

This four bedroom, three and a half bath saw a 34 percent drop to $2,100,000. It has stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, oversized windows, hardwood floors, in-unit laundry, moldings, a balcony, and built-ins. The building has concierge, a garden, gym, and basketball court.

This one bedroom, one bath saw a 27 percent price cut to $189,000. The co-op has tile and hardwood floors, white appliances, oversized windows, and a walk-in closet. The building has a bike room, laundry room, and storage. 

This property, a combination of two townhouses, saw a 25 percent drop to $14,995,000. It's still under construction and needs to completed by the next owner. There are plans for eight bedrooms, eight full baths, two half baths, and a roof terrace. 

This three bedroom, three bath saw a 23 percent drop to $2,500,000. The penthouse has a private terrace, built-ins, oversized windows, a foyer, central air, high ceilings, and in-unit laundry. Photos are virtually staged according to the listing. Amenities include a gym, bike room, and laundry room.
