A popular Beacon Hill watering hole will reopen on Thursday with a new name and island decor.

After closing on August 12, the former 6B Lounge has transformed into Roxanne’s, a cozy cocktail bar next to sister restaurant Emmett’s Pub (both establishments are run by the East Coast Tavern Group, which also includes Carrie Nation, Magnolia Smokehouse, Scholars, and Sunset Cantina). Statement wallpaper — think pink flamingoes and palm fronds — cover the walls, and marble bistro tables and long booths now fill the dining area.

Elizabeth Palmer, East Coast Tavern Group’s general manager, said the drink menu went through an overhaul as well.

“It’s going to be a much more cocktail-oriented program,” she told Boston.com, though while the space’s new vibe is decidedly tropical, she’s quick to say that it isn’t a tiki bar.

Cocktails include drinks like the Bingo Bronson, made with seven-year aged rum, banana liqueur, orange bitters, and an espresso ice cube. Fans of smoky cocktails might enjoy the Mezcal Me Maybe, featuring mezcal, chartreuse, rosemary simple syrup, and torched grapefruit, while those looking for a twist on a classic should try the Negroni Sbagliato, using Campari, sweet vermouth, and sparkling wine. Palmer said the bar will also offer large format cocktails like a sherbet punch: sparkling rosé, peach liqueur, vodka, raspberry and peach sherbet, pineapple, and maraschino cherries. A small wine list will offer three red and three white options, and there will be plenty of local craft beer on tap.

Roxanne’s shares a kitchen with Emmett’s Pub, and the cocktail bar’s food menu will incorporate bar snacks and small plates from their neighbor: grilled cheese, a burger, mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and other approachable dishes.

Despite the changes to the space, Palmer said that Roxanne’s will maintain some aspects of its former occupant.

“A big question that a lot of people have been asking us is if [the themed nights] are going to continue,” said Palmer. “We’re going to keep doing those throwback nights.”

DJs will spin vintage vinyl on Thursdays for 70s night, while guests can stop by on Fridays for 90s night and Saturdays for 80s night. Good thing tie-dye is making a comeback.
