The Block couple have doubled down, saying they're not "embarrassed" of ripping off someone else's work and "wanted that exact look".
The Block's Sarah-Jane Wilson and Tom Calleja have responded to claims they ripped off another designer’s work, after all three judges took to social media to acknowledge the true designer of the room.
On Sunday night, the married couple revealed their children’s bedroom which featured a bold wallpaper on the ceiling and a soft green and grey colour scheme.
Within hours a Victorian building company called out the show’s contestants for copying their original design which was built in 2021.
Soon after fans started trolling Sarah-Jane and Tom for copying someone else's work, but the reality TV contestants have since spoken out saying they are not "embarrassed or ashamed" because that's what they wanted in their house.

After Sunday night's episode, Lucy Cahill, from Cahill Building Group, posted to Instagram a photo of her daughter Fleur’s nursery which was created in January 2021 with Kate Walker Design, next to a photo of The Block bedroom which had striking similarities.
The bedrooms both feature a unique floral wallpaper on the ceiling, a soft green paint on the walls, a grey chest of drawers, a wicker bassinet and a neutral chair with pink pillow and marble-looking side table.
The Mornington Peninsula mum shared the images with the caption, “Nawww so flattered. The original’s better.”
Ms Cahill added, “9.5 for Tom and Sarah’s with their incredibly similar room... What do you give us?" Before tagging the show's three judges.
She followed up with a video on her Instagram stories, saying the The Block should do a shoutout to the "original creators".
“Super flattered that they found that image and chose to recreate it, (they) didn’t executive it as well as we did sorry," she said.

Since Ms Cahill called out the show and its contestants, all three Block judges responded on social media.
Darren Palmer shared pictures of Kate Walker's work to his Instagram page and credited her for creating “this original design”.
Shaynna Blaze shared online that she was disappointed she only learned of the imitation now, and not during filming.
“We all take inspiration when we’re designing, but you have to change the source of that inspiration a minimum 30 per cent to be able to say it’s your design," she wrote.
“Since judging Sarah-Jane’s nursery, we have learned that the design was taken from amazing Victorian designer Kate Walker.”
“We could tell at the time of judging that the design execution of this room was next-level. Now we understand why."
Ms Blaze said she had spoken with Kate and she was “very understanding”.
Neale Whitaker also spoke on the controversy and thanked Kate Walker for "providing the beautiful inspiration for Tom and Sarah-Jane’s House 1 nursery”.
He went on to say, “we hope that when contestants are inspired by a designer’s work they will either respectfully acknowledge the source or adapt it significantly to make it truly their own".
After the public backlash Sarah-Jane and Tom took to social media to confess they didn't understand the criticism, and they could have they would have copied it even more.
"If it was in my own home, no one would be saying the hurtful things they have been," they wrote.
"I knew that copying her design on national TV would be controversial but seeing as there is no rules provided to us as contestants about design inspiration / replicating l was OK with taking the risk.
"I wanted that exact look and that’s OK. As I’m not a designer I was unaware of a 30 per cent rule and honestly if I could have found the actual items Kate used I probably would have, that’s how much I needed that nursery in this house.
"I’m not ashamed or embarrassed of what I did. I have credited Kate and I never once on the show claimed it was my design. Many people throughout the week saw the photo of Kate’s design I was working off and no one ever said anything to me.
"I hope this settles people's thoughts and remember please be kind to people."
Fans of The Block slammed the couple for the "rip-off" room, while wondering if Sarah-Jane had gone to the same lengths ahead of other Block reveals.
“This makes you question the rest of House 1’s decorating,” one person said.
A second user wrote, “Absolutely shameless copying. I’m glad the true designer has now been acknowledged.”
Other viewers suggested the couple should lose points.
“No wonder it doesn’t take her long to design a room, should have the points deducted and they shouldn’t win the car,” one follower wrote.
A similar situation occurred on 2020, when Luke and Jasmine’s children’s room was called out for being a copy of a bedroom in a high-profile Byron Bay Airbnb.
Ms Blaze confronted the pair about the similarity between the two rooms in a tense showdown in an episode after finding the couple’s “inspiration” herself after judging.
