French family-run hotel group Barrière has made a stylish entry into The Big Apple’s hospitality scene by launching Hotel Barrière Fouquet’s New York in downtown Tribeca. House in an eight-storey red-brick building on 456 Greenwich Street in Tribeca, the hotel boasts 97 guest rooms, including 29 with terraces.
Truly reinterpreting the codes of French elegance and excellence, Hotel Barrière Fouquet’s New York aims to treat its guests to impeccable design, courtesy of Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. Then, there’s a holistic spa, three interesting dining concepts, a gym with an indoor pool, different event spaces, and a Cannes Film Festival–inspired screening room.
“The opening of Hotel Barrière Fouquet’s New York is a massive achievement for Groupe Barriere and our teams,” Dominique Desseigne, chairman and CEO of Groupe Barrière. “I am proud to see our iconic and symbolic brand Fouquet’s cross the Atlantic and look forward to continuing to share our French art de vivre.”
The French hospitality group collaborated with Caspi Development on this project. Expect to be transported to Paris through art deco-inspired furniture, elegant European-style chandeliers, and elegant fabrics and custom wallpaper in the guest rooms. Marble bathrooms with brass accents boast oversized windows with downtown views.
Think of enjoying the pleasure of brunching on the terrace, the warm atmosphere of a Parisian brasserie, a cocktail sipped with friends in an elegant speakeasy, and discovering finest of recipes at its restaurants and bars. Brasserie Fouquet’s New York is a tribute to the iconic Parisian brasserie where the menu by Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire celebrates classics from the French culinary repertoire.
Par Ici Café unveils gourmet vegetarian dishes made using locally sourced, seasonal, organic ingredients. The cozy and intimate Titsou Bar evokes Paris in the 1920’s and 30’s, and will be the setting for private meetings and buzzing New York soirées.
A gentle oasis of wellness right in the middle of all the urban bustle, the hotel’s Spa Diane Barrière allows guests to indulge in curated well-being and beauty treatments. The spa features five treatment rooms, Biologique Recherche products, an indoor swimming pool, and a salon.
